Wild Coffee House and Bistro took over the coffee house space at Yates and Broad when Serious Coffee moved down the street a few years ago. I often use it as a place to meet up with people - the location is easy to describe, there is often a free table, they have free wi-fi and friendly staff and there's a little bit of everything on the menu. The decor is also pretty funky, with tons of driftwood and lots of decorative touches like buddha heads and plants.

Service:

Service was good again today. The nice server brought the food to our table again, and there was none of the drama chit-chat behind the counter between customers that I've just come to get used to at many places.

The server was quite friendly and chatty in a good way, and the person making my drink was paying attention enough to pass my drink across the counter to where I was sitting rather than put it up on the bar around the corner... much appreciated!

Greek-Style Yogurt Parfait via foodspotting.com

Was here for a meeting this morning and needed a quick breakfast. I love that Wild has some healthy options for breakfast. This was a bit of granola, yogurt and a drizzle of honey with fresh fruit on top. It was the perfect size, and the perfect price under $5.

Fruit Smoothie via foodspotting.com

When I'm craving a fruit smoothie, this is my go-to place. Unlike many other places that use a weird powder to make their "fruit" smoothies, here I'm pretty sure it's just fruit juice and ice in a blender. Today's flavour was raspberry & wildberry, but I have to say I found it a bit more watery than the ones I've had in the past with peach as one of the ingredients. Still pretty delicious and highly recommended!
